A quick look at Heb 9:13-14

Today's post and reading is a little different.

I was convicted yesterday while listening to good ole' Revive Our Hearts. I haven't been getting to know God better. How can I be more like him if I'm not learning about who he is.
I've been praying a lot more today.

I read the rest of Chapter 9 of Hebrews. And I'm only going to focus on these couple verses that stood out to me. I might go back later and cover the rest of what it said, but for now...
Heb 9:13-14
"The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"

So that we may serve the living God.

and now I ponder about what that means. How can I serve God? How can I serve God the way HE wants me to?

I want my life to be so full of him. I want to reflect His holiness.

  1. That's what I do too, just focus on what stands out to me... it really helps make it seem less overwhelming and more meaningful.

And I want that too. :)
